Alexis Sanchez has fallen well down the pecking order at Manchester United

by Marwan Harraz

Alexis Sanchez will reportedly play a bit-part role should his move to Inter Milan fail and he remains at Manchester United.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has publicly backed the versatile attacker but that was before he desired to leave to the Serie A giants.

Perhaps Sanchez’s wish to depart has seen him get on the legendary Norwegian’s bad side which may come back to haunt him.

The former Arsenal man has struggled since arriving at United and it appears he may finally cut his time short soon.

Inter Milan are reportedly looking for a loan move with negotiations ongoing for a while now as they struggle to meet the club’s demands.

It makes sense to prioritise Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood’s development, particularly since Sanchez has not provided any evidence his form will turn around this season.

Manchester United can’t back him forever and given he wanted to cut ties with the club, it’s logical he should become last in the pecking order.

Solskjaer had previously discussed keeping players who truly want to remain at Old Trafford but if a new deal can’t be met then it will have to be delayed.

Offloading Sanchez was always going to prove troublesome given his incredible wages and poor form.
