Manchester United prioritise three players for new contracts

by Marwan Harraz

Manchester United will reportedly prioritise three players contract renewals following David de Gea and Victor Lindelof’s futures being secure.

The sensational Spaniard has just one year left to his current deal with many reports flooding in over how he’ll be joining PSG or Juventus.

However, United managed to convince him to commit his future to the club and so he extended his deal for quite some time.

There was no real panic over Lindelof’s future, despite interest from Barcelona, but it was a contract that needed to be wrapped up as quickly as possible.

With these two players’ futures secure, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has a core group that he’s tying down to ensure there are no later distractions.

According to the Evening Standard, Paul Pogba, Jesse Lingard and Mason Greenwood will all be handed new contracts despite uncertainty of the first player’s future.

Solskjaer has publicly spoken positively about all three players despite the criticism flooding in for the first two.

Pogba’s outspoken comments about Real Madrid saw some fans turn on him but he was never spoken about poorly by his manager.

Lingard’s form has been horrendous of late but Solskjaer insisted he was crucial to United’s plans nonetheless.
