Manchester United fans want Ole Gunnar Solskjaer sacked tomorrow after Newcastle United defeat

by Leo Nieboer

Manchester United fans are strongly in favour of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer being sacked following the club’s 1-0 defeat to Newcastle United on Sunday.

The Norwegian’s side produced yet another performance devoid of composure or even basic skill as Matty James scored in the 71st minute to hand Man United their third defeat of the season.

United have now gone 11 games in all competitions without a win, and have won just two of their last 13 Premier League games.

We put it to supporters after the game whether Solskjaer being sacked tomorrow would lead to an improvement in performances and results in the short term.

The responses were largely unanimous.

Even if you factor in the impact of the Glazers and Ed Woodward, which is considerable, it still does not explain the sheer lack of basic footballing understanding currently infecting this team.

Forget the semblance of an attacking plan, United players are struggling to pass, to control the ball, to move into the right spaces, to cross a ball accurately.

This is a bad squad. But it is not bad as it currently looks under Solskjaer. You can see why so many want the 46-year-old gone.
