Laurent Blanc latest former Manchester United man keen on managerial role

by Marwan Harraz

Former Manchester United man Laurent Blanc is reportedly eyeing up the Old Trafford hot seat amidst rumours Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s position is under threat.

The legendary Norwegian’s brilliant start as interim manager seems almost as though it happened a decade ago with his players failing to put in a consistently good shift for several months now.

Pre-season was impressive as United crushed all their opposition teams and it seemed everything was setting up nicely for a great season.

Beating Chelsea 4-0 on opening day had some fans jokingly suggest the league title is in store but now fans despairingly joke about a potential relegation.

The Red Devils sit in 12th place currently and a loss to Liverpool could potentially see them slide down to the relegation zone.

Blanc hasn’t managed since leaving PSG back in 2016 and so there are some question marks whether he could get the job done if given the chance.

It’s not the first time the Frenchman has been linked with a return to Manchester United and it’s unlikely to be the last.

Many have previously suggested he’d be a good fit as a temporary or interim manager himself until the right man can be brought in should Solskjaer face the axe.
