The young Scotsman has grown tenfold in Paul Pogba’s absence with his form not letting up since his brilliant pre-season.
Question marks were raised after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer failed to invest in his engine room but McTominay has stepped up tremendously to ease some of the fears.
Against Chelsea, the academy product was at his brilliant best, helping his side maintain momentum with it now being three wins on the bounce.
While he has been impressive, McTominay must keep up his performances so he can continue turning his unlimited potential into talent.

McTominay’s influence has been so great that even the shaky Fred has been growing in confidence playing alongside him.
Whisper it quietly but Manchester United are slowly adapting to playing without Pogba and much of that has to do with how the aforementioned pair have been.
Hopefully by the time the injured Frenchman returns, he’ll be joining a settled, in-form side rather than the mess he experienced before missing matches.
It’s easy to see just why Jose Mourinho was adamant on publicly praising McTominay so much and the hope is the dream can continue happening.
