Lyon sporting director Juninho has reiterated the fact that Manchester United will have priority over signing Memphis Depay should the player decide to leave the Ligue 1 club next summer.
Memphis moved to Old Trafford in the summer of 2015 but markedly failed to impress under Louis van Gaal, scoring just seven times in 53 appearances.
However, since moving to Lyon, the Dutchman has enjoyed a renaissance of sorts, netting 34 goals across the past two full seasons in France and playing a talismanic role in a relatively young team.
Speaking earlier this week, Juninho spoke of how United would be positioned to get first say over Memphis should he decide to leave in the summer window.

It is likely that Memphis will be averse to the idea of moving to a place where he sunk to the lowest of depths, where he lost himself in truly emphatic fashion.
However, maybe that notion alone serves as reason for Memphis to like the idea of returning to United.
Becoming successful at Old Trafford would serve as the ultimate redemption for a player whose resurgence began with failure at United, where he was expected to do so many great things after *that* performance against Club Brugge.
