Manchester United weighing up January move for Jadon Sancho – report

by Leo Nieboer

Manchester United are weighing up the possibility of making a move for Borussia Dortmund starlet Jadon Sancho in January, according to a report.

The youngster has emerged on the radar of United having scored 15 goals and claimed 19 assists in the Bundesliga since the start of last season.

Most reports have suggested that United will launch a bid to complete the signing of Sancho in next summer’s transfer window.

However, according to the Guardian‘s Jamie Jackson, the Red Devils are now weighing up the prospect of making an approach in January.

Sancho has recently grown unsettled in Germany. The 19-year-old received a fine and was dropped for returning late to training last month, and was recently taken off after 36 minutes against Bayern Munich, with Lucien Favre speaking angrily about the youngster after the game and noting that he was not injured.

A combination of these factors, combined with the prospect of truly announcing your presence in the Premier League, may well be enough to convince Sancho – valued at around £120m – that a move in January could be the right move.
