Manchester United target Erling Braut Haaland prefers move to Real Madrid or Barcelona – report

by Leo Nieboer

Manchester United target Erling Braut Haaland would prefer a move to Real Madrid or Barcelona next summer, according to reports.

The Red Bull Salzburg striker has shot to fame this season after netting 26 goals from 18 appearances in all competitions.

It is claimed that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who gave Haaland his debut at Molde, has sent his personal scout to monitor the Norwegian ahead of the summer.

However, according to The Mirror, the 19-year-old’s ideal destination would be one of the Spainish super-clubs.

Barcelona are looking for a replacement for Luis Suarez, while Real Madrid need somebody capable of replacing Karim Benzema in the long term.

Should Haaland continue the same kind of form, there is no way that he will settle for joining a club not playing in the Champions League next season, as looks likely at Old Trafford.

You get the impression, though, that this saga – we’re only in November, for god’s sake – has plenty more twists and turns up its sleeve.
