Juventus to raise Paul Pogba in Mario Mandzukic talks with Manchester United over ‘next few weeks’ – report

Juventus plan to mention the prospect of doing a deal for Paul Pogba in the summer when the two clubs meet to discuss Mario Mandzukic over the ‘next few weeks’, according to reports.

Pogba is expected to leave Old Trafford over the summer after claiming in June that he wanted a “new challenge” elsewhere.

Recent reports have stated that the Frenchman, despite interest from Real Madrid, would prefer a return to Turin.

According to Tuttosport, Juventus and United will hold meetings over the next few weeks.

While these talks will ostensibly be about Mario Mandzukic, who is a January target, the Serie A champions are set to use the negotiations as a means of gauging United’s stance on selling Pogba next summer.

The 26-year-old’s contract expires in 2021, with the option to extend for a further year. It is likely that United will look to cash in on Pogba, valued at around £150m, if the midfielder seeks to leave the club for a second year running.
