Gary Neville warns Ole Gunnar Solskjaer over January transfer window

by Marwan Harraz

Manchester United great Gary Neville has warned his former teammate Ole Gunnar Solskjaer amid uncertainty over his future.

With Mauricio Pochettino essentially a ‘free agent’, the pressure on the legendary Norwegian has increased even more.

Every decision Solskjaer makes is being scrutinised simply because the Argentinian, who was previously chased by United, is now available.

Before the former Molde man managed to inspire his side to comeback from being 2-0 down at Sheffield United, Pochettino’s name started to trend as some fans were calling for him to be appointed.

Neville believes Solskjaer must spend in January in order to ensure he remains with the Red Devils long enough to see the fruits of his labour.

It’s true a little experience is needed and a player or two must be brought in but it begs the question over who.

Solskjaer has seemingly suggested he’ll only bring in short-term solutions on short-term contracts in the sense that it will be loan moves.

That seems to be a smart, temporary solution that would, at the same time, ensure the young stars Manchester United have won’t see their development stopped in its tracks.

Juventus’ Mario Mandzukic has been heavily linked with a transfer and if he is brought in, just on loan, it can only be deemed as a good move.
