Why Erling Haaland’s move to Manchester United will be complicated

RB Salzburg star Erling Haaland has reportedly revealed a desire to play for Manchester United to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, just a day after reports claimed the later travelled to Salzburg on Friday.

The legendary Norwegian is said to have taken matters into his own hands by jumping on a flight to Austria in an attempt to seal a move for the young striker.

United fans obviously feel there are more urgent positions in need of investing but perhaps Solskjaer feels it’s too good an opportunity to pass up on.

Haaland played under the club legend at Molde before securing his move to Salzburg and so it’s made reports over a reunion grow even more.

The sensational Norwegian is wanted by multiple clubs around Europe such as Juventus and Borussia Dortmund so a deal will likely be complicated.

According to the Mirror, Haaland told his former boss he wants to join the Red Devils with Solskjaer even promising him a spot alongside Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial in attack.

It’s also reported Mino Raiola wants him to join Juventus instead though those at Old Trafford are determined to pay whatever it takes to sign him in January preferably despite there being an acceptance a deal between the two Red Bull clubs will be tough to stop.
