Ole Gunnar Solskjaer dubbed ‘clueless’ by irate fans

Manchester United fans are becoming increasingly frustrated with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer despite the team’s 1-0 win over West Brom this evening.

It was in some ways a lucky escape for United, who saw a clear penalty for West Brom overturned by the referee after VAR intervention and had a chance to retake a missed penalty because the goalkeeper was adjudged to have moved off his line.

‘Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is not reliant on penalties anymore. He’s reliant on penalty RETAKES to save his job. All time low. Shambles of a club,’ said one fan.

Other comments included:

‘I genuinely believe some people have fooled themselves into thinking Solskjaer plays an attractive brand of football. We’ve had 2 good spells under him playing good football and winning. One as interim and one after the restart. The first 45 v WBA is the norm. It really is.’

‘If Bruno gets injured, Solskjær gets the sack. It really is that black and white. Without him we would be nothing.’

‘No one can defend this type of football surely? He’s scared to death of losing, Solskjaer. Goes on about the United way, if any of the three before him set a team out like this at OT against a bottom three team, they’d get slaughtered.’

‘Anyone with eyes and a working brain can see Ole Gunnar Solskjaer isn’t the answer. Let the rest of them have their fun before the inevitable happens.’

‘Solskjaer can say the fans would make the difference at Old Trafford but equally, the fans frustration at some of these performances would echo around the stands.’

‘The most Solskjaer win probably ever. Absolutely awful, clueless performance bailed out by corrupt VAR.’

United have had some world class goalkeepers over the years and some entertaining ones too. Take our quiz below to find out how much you know about United’s number 1’s, past and present.
