Bruno Fernandes makes fun of his critics following Istanbul Basaksehir win

by Marwan Harraz

Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes had a brilliant response when told about his goalscoring record following the win over Istanbul Basaksehir.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Portuguese magician was once again the star of the show, netting a brace in the 4-1 victory.

Bruno scored an absolute beauty for his first goal before pouncing on a goalkeeping error to net his second, giving United a comfortable lead.

Marcus Rashford scored from the penalty spot to make it three and Daniel James would later net a late effort to wrap up all three points.

Bruno was just as instrumental in the win as he was vs West Brom and Everton as he continues his red-hot form for the Red Devils.

Bruno’s goal contributions are clear evidence of what he’s capable of doing and just how good of a player he is and yet he still gets criticised for scoring penalties.

The former Sporting Lisbon man is the club’s first-choice penalty taker due to his remarkable conversion rate and rather than that being something celebrated, it’s been used as a stick to beat him with.

Bruno’s hit back at his critics in the past and used this occasion to once again make fun of those who try to reduce his obvious world-class quality.

United have had some world class goalkeepers over the years and some entertaining ones too. Take our quiz below to find out how much you know about United’s number 1’s, past and present.
