by Marwan Harraz

Manchester United legend Sir Alex Ferguson has opened on Marcus Rashford and his efforts in the campaign to help children and their families out of food poverty.

The former manager, who is considered to be amongst the greatest of all time, hasn’t given an interview in quite a while now but broke his silence to support the academy graduate.

Rashford has been in the limelight of late, not because of his performances, but because of his online and viral campaigning to ensure the children in the UK don’t go hungry, particularly over the festive period.

The talented Englishman has no interest in politics but because of his actions, he’s found himself being discussed in political forums.

Sir Alex is widely missed by United fans, especially since success has been rather limited since his departure, and so are joyful over hearing his voice once more.

Rashford is expected to win multiple awards because of his humanitarian work and it’s safe to say his work on the pitch hasn’t suffered either.

The young attacker cannot be accused of taking his eye off the ball when he has eight goals and three assists in 14 appearances across all competitions.

An even more accurate reading would show his minutes tallies up to around 11 matches worth, meaning there’s some type of goal contribution just about every 90 minutes.
