David Moyes is sniffing Koke if rumours are true

Cesc Fabregas, Ander Hererra and now Koke. It seems that David Moyes would quite like to bring a Spanish midfielder to Manchester United.

Various media reports linked United with a swoop for the young Atletico Madrid starlet in a move that could see him join up with good friend and fellow Spaniard David De Gea at the club.

Spain have an immense talent pool of young midfielders at the moment and Koke is certainly one of the hottest prospects as he continues to mature under the guidance of his club manager Diego Simeone.

Already an experienced campaigner at the age of just 21, Koke has notched up 118 appearances for his home town club and has netted nine goals along the way.

He’s a midfielder who has evolved from a deep-lying playmaker into something even more dynamic and useful in a variety of positions in Simeone’s team.

Although his ability on the ball is his main strength, Koke’s tackling prowess shouldn’t go unnoticed – so far this season he has won 93% of his tackles. He has been likened to Xavi by many but I would say he’s more versatile and attack minded but his passing range is definitely similar to that of Xavi. As far as comparisons go, they don’t get much higher than Xavi.

There is no doubt that Koke would be a very good acquisition for United’s midfield but I’m personally not getting my hopes up over a deal.

He has a very good relationship with his manager Simeone and along with most of the squad at the Vicente Calderon, you really don’t get a sense that Koke has eyes for anything other than success with Atletico.

Do you think Manchester United should look at signing Koke?
