Another Saudi take over bid.

Can't say I'm overjoyed at the prospect of United being used to sportswash a regime like the House of Saud but I'm sick of tired of us being used as a bank by those reptiles in Florida. I'd have to hold my nose and plump for the Saudis. However, I do have a friend who is a SA national that I've known for years. His opinion is that the younger Saudi rulers are pushing for a more modern society (dismembering journalists aside, but that's another tale) and envision the country following the likes of UAE. They'll never admit that though.

Yeah and I'm not necessarily totally against dismembering journalists  I've been thinking about it today and I'm wondering if it's been put out by the Glazers (1) to distract the Glazers Out movement (no need to get them out if they're selling out) and/or (2) To try and boost the share price.

It'll take more than an unfounded rumour to boost the share prices. Investors these days aren't so easily fooled but the poison dwarf has been quick to respond, which he normally doesn't in the face of newspaper talk. Might be something, might be nothing.

He is very vocal at the moment. I do think we're starting to get under his skin.

Be interested to know where people stand on the Saudi's with their record. Is it just about getting the Glazers out or is it about getting the right owners in?

I'm split. One of my main grudges against City is that they're able to spend so much thanks to the their ties to the kingdom.
I understand the Saudis are trying to better their world image and this is one way for them to do that. But I can't look away at the horrible shit they've done, and probably will do in the future.

And also, I don't have the King's home address, so i can't send him any of my shitty ManU fanfiction

Well ive thought long and hard about it. It would mean the end of Lingard. Jones. Young. Shaw. Ole. Carrick. Phelan. Woodward.
Took me all of 3.6 seconds.

I hadn't thought of that part. If the Glazers are out, would that also mean that Woodward leaves too? He works for the club, not for the Glazers, so it doesn't necessarily mean his departure as well.
I actually think they would keep him about, at least to keep managing the business side of things, as they force a DoF down his throat.

Woodward could stay, if it meant looking after selling United chucky noodles and sorting out tractor makers sponsorships. That would be fine. But it would essentially mean an embarrassing de-motion. He'd have all his power taken away. And all this time thats all it has ever been about.

He'd walk for sure.
