Getting organized

#1
I think it's great to have a forum to use to talk about different ideas to put pressure on the Glazers. Maybe it can bring people in from different social media to a central place? The hashtag campaigns are a great start but maybe there's more fans (whether they're on twitter or not) can do to get them out, or get Woodward out. There's been some talk about boycotting games, boycotting merchandising etc but maybe we need other ideas as well. Any #glazersout people around the forum yet to tell us what projects are already being worked on?

THE SITUATION:
I live in a different continent but oh boy, god knows how much I invest into this club emotionally, monetarily and physically. Look, imagine you're a business man running a sports organization in a wrong way and sinking it down. And the customers are still coming each week to your store and buying products and tickets and show absolutely no concern and do not even question you to change the structure so that we get back on track at all while you are milking the club and running it into ground. Tell me, why, just why would you even bother to change? You won't. The 'you' here is Glazers and Woodward, and customers here are the thick dumb fans who'll get the club forgotten, asset stripped, rotten and irrecoverable in the name of 'supporting' and 'getting behind the lads'. IS SIX YEARS NOT ENOUGH OF YOUR NEGLIGENCE AND IGNORANCE TO THIS? THEY ARE LAUGHING AT US. ROBBING US. DESTROYING THE VALUE AND RESPECT OF A CLUB AND ITS LEGACY. IT IS DAYLIGHT ROBBERY.
We are in a free fall, and it is all because of one man. One single man. EDWARD GARETH WOODWARD. He's an investment banker who has been put in charge of the most prestigious job in European Football, the job of running and improving the biggest club in the world. YES. LET THAT SINK IN. A BANKER WHO HAS NEVER EVEN SEEN A FOOTBALL LET ALONE TOUCH IT, IS RUNNING MANCHESTER UNITED. Now you think why we are going to fight relegation? He takes all the decisions of the football side of the club, and is failing at it miserabely since 6 years while converting us into a commercial club. And you ask where is the passion? Where is the football? Where is the result? This is where it is : in the shithole of a banker who thinks he can run the biggest football club in the world.

THE SOLUTION:
We can't get the Glazers out or Woodward out so easily but we need to stabilise the short term and control the damage. But what we now need to do is pressure the club and ask them questions about the structure, the failure of the last 6 years and why is it not changing at all. Enter, A DIRECTOR OF FOOTBALL(DoF). A DoF is a person who manages the football side of the club, is an experienced football man who has knowledge experience and leadership in the field. He formulates the ambitions, philosophy and the policies of a club. Then based on this philosophy, a manager is appointed who fits the bill and is suitable to the club. Ever wondered why we appointed contrasting and unrelated managers in Moyes, LVG and Jose with all different philosophies and targets? That resulted in sheer waste of your money and the club's time. 6 years, that we are never getting back while ou rival progressed due to their set philosophies. The DoF also maintains this philosophy to sign players so that they relate with all the managers and not just one. The club is run according to a principle philosphy, and not acoording to a manager's own new philosophy. That's how a club is run, and while we should be an ideal club to look at, we are run by a clueless banker who makes all these decisions so that the owners can make money before success on pitch. Imagine this criminal act of killing the soul of a club. SO FOR SHORT TERM. THE ONLY THING WE NEED TO FOCUS IS QUESTION THE CLUB'S ABSOLUTE SHAMBOLIC HANDLING BY THE HANDS OF A BANKER AND WHY HAS HE NOT BEEN SACKED/OR RELOACTED TO THE BUSINESS SIDE OF THINGS. THAT"S ALL. IT IS EASY. PRESSURE THE CLUB INTO APPOINTING A DOF WHO WILL THEN APPOINT THE MANAGER FROM A FOOTBALLING POINT OF VIEW AND CONTINUE A PHILOSOPHY. BELIEVE ME REDS, THIS APPOINTMENT WILL TURN EVERYTHING ON ITS HEAD. IT IS NOW OR NEVER. IF ONE OF THE BIGGEST ROBBERIES EVER, WHERE A BANKER IS RUNNING A FOOTBALL CLUB IS NOT QUESTIONED AFTER 6 IS NOT ACTED UPON BY THE FANS THEN KNOW THAT THIS CLUB IS FINISHED.

PS; SACKING SOLSKJAER IS RIGHT BUT NOT BEFORE A DOF WHO WILL THEN APPOINT A MANAGER BASED ON FOOTBALL REASONING OR ELSE THIS CYCLE NEVER STOP AND MANCHESTER UNITED WILL SOON GO TO OBLIVION WHERE NO ONE WILL WANT TO COME ANYMORE

Feel there is more momentum behind this sentiment at the moment than there has been in a long time. I suppose that's what being shit does, allows you to focus on the real issues.
We're gwtting absolutely picked apart by the Glazers and Woodward mate. People are too lazy or living off our history and name of being Manchester United that we'll get back. We won't and we'll be in an irrecoveravble position when all those fans will realise and regret. You can't do anything about why the Glazers are how they are but remember a club is run or ruined by the fans only. Who is stopping them from protesting against them and questioning their dross handling of our club.

As long as the club generates financial profits, they are going nowhere. It's bloody frustrating and I whis them where the sun never shines but I'm afraid it has to get a lot worse before it gets better. If they would sell while the club still generates profits, there is no guarantee that the next buyer won't use it as a cashcow as well. I will support any movement that tries to do something about the issue though, so sign me up if you find something 🤘

I know man that is why we need to protest against the running of the club and not the owners. we can bring stability even under these owners for the short term if we pressure them to appoint a DoF and strip Woodward of power

I personally think boycotting home games that are televised .This will send a message worldwide with pictures of an empty Old Trafford on a matchday. It's disgraceful what's happened to our team, you just have to take a look at our subs bench most games to show the damage that is being done.

the thing is the super fans in manchester are too weak to take such a step. They are so dumb that they are actually killing the club in the name of supporting it right now. Supporting the club means getting it on right track when there are powers destructive at the top

There’s just too many people who would fill the seats of the boycotting fans. I think we need to look at other ways of getting to them.

It's far from as simple as that Arjun. Thousands of United fans protested back in 2005, set up a new club with FC United and there has been so much else on top of that too. It's just an extremely tough situation.

you are forgetting one big difference my guy. We were on the rise at that time. Unparalleled success shuts up many people. David Gill was the CEO, a football understanding man. We are a club sinking quicker than a waterfall atm. that's a big difference, in fact all it needs to be. IM SAYING AGAIN AND AGAIN. FORGET ABOUT THE GLAZERS ATM. JUST FORCE A FOOTBALL LEADER'S APPOINTMENT IN PLACE OF WOODWARD TO CONTROL FURTHER DAMAGE.

What are people's opinions on a DOF. I personally believe A DOF won't work under the current regime, as He/She will still have to report back to Woodword, whose only best interests or those of the Glazers, not the football club and fans.

That's what I'm suggesting. Our agenda should be to remove Woodward from footballing chief and appoint a DOF with autonomy. And even if he reports back to Woodward, he at least takes the right decision and tells woodward to sign them because he doesn't understand a thing about football anyway

That definitely has the be the first step in change, to get Woodward off the football side of things and let him can concentrate on the commercial side of the running of the club.

All depends on the amount of real power a DoF would have. If Woodward didn't relinquish any control then that DoF wouldn't be able to do their job properly.

exactly i've been screaming for this since so long on twitter mate. People are more concerned about their clout status and that they'll look uncool focusing on real issues. They think we can just moan and do nothing else there whatever will happend will happen to the club. Sick mentality.

not properly but we won't see such a drastic bunch of pathetic decisions. Giving finished players contract. signing player for commercialization. A DoF will certainly reduce this atrocity by some distance. We have got to start somewhere. Removing the owners is the most difficult thing while making noise for the failed banker to be removed from his footballing supremecy is a bright start i guess. Thanks Sam for this forum. All other platforms are filled with clout gainers etc

Has anyone thought of going after the sponsors to get them to put pressure on the Glazers? If we had a big enough campaign to each sponsor company, which says we will start boycotting your products or even wear t-shirt’s and scarves at games saying “fuck Kohler” or “chilean wine sucks” and hashtagging negarive things about their brands until they either force the glazers to appoint a DOF with autonomy or until they withdraw their sponsorship. making the sponsorship toxic could be a way to hit the glazers in the only place it hurts, and in Woodward’s back yard as well.
