The glazers have ruined our football club from the get go when we sold ronaldo for £80 million we didn’t replace him. And they never gave much funds to Ferguson, after he retired moyes came In they spent about 65 million on Fellani and Mata, then Moyes gets sacked in April after Everton we get Giggs to finish off the season and then bring Van gaal I thought was a really good manager made some good signings in falcao and di Maria but they didn’t make it as they only came for the money. Following season we came 5th and won the FA cup and later that even Jose reports were coming out to take over. Few weeks later it happened, I liked Van gaal we should of kept him his style wasn’t the best but he promoted the youth and thought was decent but he quoted that United need a director of football as Ed Woodward is a businessman and knows nothing about football. Now Jose comes in brings big players in on high wages such as pogba, zlatan, lukaku, and so on. It’s terrible we don’t have a wage structure in our club you don’t see mane or salah on 300k a week they’re on around 150 to 180 a week it’s terrible how we’re getting ruined by the owners. After Jose gets sacked they appoint ole as care taker manager and has a real good start and has his ambitions and plans for this club. But ever since getting the job on a permanent he’s changed everything and he hasn’t said why. I love ole to bits but he’s a puppet and he’s sticking up for the owners when they don’t want to spend when we need to. I want ole to stay only people need to go and that’s the glazers end of discussion if it wasn’t for them we would be in a much better position than we are now. I just hope Ole gets it right cause if he gets sacked we are back to the start it’s stupid.

You're right. Sometimes I honestly think even Sir Alex wouldn't succeed at this club with Woodward there.
Fergie still managed while under this system actually, which you wouldn’t think because of the genius of the man. Such was his genius that he could get results regardless of what was happening behind the scenes. But now those cracks are starting to reveal themselves, and we all know the culprits are Woodward and the Glazers. Like deer in headlights 🦌🚙

He did, but he's got a lot of stick over the years for leaving an aging, declining side that only won the league because of his presence ... has anyone considered that the weakened aging side was already the Woodward/Glazers effect, and wasn't SAF's fault at all?

I actually haven't considered that Betty, you know when Fergie came out saying there's no value in the market, etc. So I guess part of that stick is warranted to some extent. But I like your point about that ageing side potentially being a part of the Glazer effect as well :)

For those of you with a bit of financial savvy, and those without (me, for example), this is a superb article. It paints a picture of what is happening at United, what the Glazers have done, and the corrupt and morally bankrupt system they put in place to do it. If, after reading this, you don't want to rip the Glazers and Woodward limb from limb, then you should check your pulse.

David Gill’s importance at United has always been massively understated.
Gill had it in his hands, for a brief while, to stop the takeover. Fergie did too but both did an about-face. "Debt is the road to ruin" all right. We'd have been better off under Murdoch than these leeches. Gill has never adequately explained why he backtracked apart from the 500 employees under him, which was pretty much what Fergie said, except for telling objecting fans to go and support Chelsea. There's plenty of blame to go around and Gill has to shoulder some of it. We'll leave Rock of Gibraltar and the 99 questions aside for now.

Fantastic article Albert. So informative! If you’ve heard of TifoFootball (a YouTube channel), they made a video recently about correlations between economics and performances on the pitch from a Manchester United perspective, something which Woodward blatantly lied about when the shareholders meeting was held recently. It’s 8 mins if you’re interested:

Glazers have ruined our football club. There’s no doubt about that. They don’t care about the football side. They just mean business. It would be surprise if we do know this by now. We should have got technical director of football in first place right after SAF left. It was all because of SAF that we achieved even with average teams. If Galzers really cared about the club they would have appointed a technical director to drive the club in right direction instead of handing the responsibility to the stupid know it all Ed Woodward. We would have got the right manager in place by the director of football. If this would have been done then MUFC would not be in the shambles that they are in right now. Instead they would have been challenging for top honours right now. In fact they might have won the league few times by now. Until ed Woodward doesn’t give up the football side of decisions to someone who really knows to deliver, we will remain in the shambles. As of now I think Man Utd made a mistake giving OGS the permanent job. We really needed a manager that brings the best game out of players and improves them knowing where their strength lies. OGS hasn’t got that ability looking at his past managerial experience. Molde was different thing. EPL is at the highest level in the world. We should have gone for Pochhetino. He’s the proven one. He gets the best out of players just like guardiola and klopp. At present we are in a deep shit. I think the only way to clean it up is to appoint director of football. Go for Ed V Saar or luis campos from Lille. They both have proved their ability. Also we need a manager that improves the lot of players that we got. We can’t sell everyone at once. We need 2-3 transfer windows if we are to replace the deadwood. That’s the fact. But OGS, I don’t think he has got that in him to take us to that level again as a manager. He lacks the ideas, tactics, he looks blind of options at times. But he is our real legend. I respect him. Take a look at Lampard. It looks as if he’s got that manager abilities in him. He’s steadied the ship at Chelsea. On the other hand we are just getting deeper and deeper into shit. I fear if right actions aren’t taken in time, we might be placed in 2nd half of the table or even close to relegation by the end of season if this continues. And if Glazers don’t see this then definitely Glazers out#

Lets be clear about the situation. Fergie and Gill indeed still have blood on their hands over the take over.

I remember the club agreeing to a meeting at Bridgewater Hall in Manchester to address selected fans from branches of the supporters clubs and MUST. To help put fans fears at rest. David Gill took to the mic on stage and said........"Anyone who thinks we would be party to a deal that would see the club saddled with such debt can be assured that we will endeavour to stop it on both moral and ethical grounds".
Sat next to him were Fergie and club secretary Maurice Watkins. Both applauded, as did the rest of the 2.500 audience.

7 weeks later it happened. The only conclusion to draw from all that is they were "got at". They will have been paid handsomely to ensure the take over was smooth. They lied. They lied to the fans and they lied to the share holders.

Indeed. Our spending on transfers shouldnt be sniffed at. But not one red cent of that money was ever the Glazers. Its so frustrating that money that is being siphoned out of Manchester United is paying to bolster their failed business ventures in the States. Failed shopping Mall's, helping to pay Tampa Bay Buccaneers players wages.

Darcy Glazer sold a lump of her share holding in September to raise $13 million dollars just to fill her bank account. Two weeks ago the Glazers sold shares which generated $330 million dollars. Deposited straight into their bank account in the Cayman Islands. Hundreds of millions that will never be seen again, along with the other hundreds of millions thats disappeared.

And thats where the club is right now. The summer just gone sent out a huge message that seems to have passed a lot of the supporters by.

Why did it some may ask? The Harry Maguire deal for instance. That had been agreed some weeks earlier. But there were no funds available.
Woodward had been briefed from Florida that the funds for Maguire would have to be raised by selling players, or it wont happen.
As it happens it had to be Lukaku. But why Lukaku?? It had to be him because we had a problem with Pogba. Pogba would have generated more money but this is where Herrera and Felliani come in. The club were secretly making massive cut backs on wages. Selling Pogba wasnt a problem. The problems started when we tried to attract the right quality to replace him. The club made enquiries on a number of replacements, but nobody was interested. The club wanted rid of Pogba, Pogba himself wanted out. But because we had lost Herrera and Felliani we now couldnt let Pogba go because there would be nobody left and nobody would come if we are seen to be selling our best player.
It was an absolute mess. The club used its influences in the press and media to fool the fans into thinking that we were talking to Dybala, Mandzukic, Bruno Fernandez. It was all bullshit. So to secure the Maguire deal Lukaku had to go.
Then as the window closed Darmian, Smalling and Sanchez were all off loaded. Just so happens it was too late to replace them too.

A massive cost cutting exercise and nothing else. Ole has been shafted and he will know it.

There is a lot of noise in the press at the moment from all different angles and they are all exerting pressure on Woodward and the Glazers.

Agree. Glazers and Woodward OUT. How do you sell a midfielder and not buy a replacement, likewise sell a striker and not buy a striker. We sold Felliani and Herrera two midfielders but did not replace either. Woodward spends 150 thousand pound and sells striker for 75 thousand pound. Woodward afraid to bring Director of Football cause he is afraid about his power and position. This club is being used for business and money in Glazers pocket. They don't give a shit about United. Glazers and Woodward to be kicked OUT urgently. We need to protest against these IDIOTS.

Chevrolet pulling out of the sponsorship deal will have sent shock waves all the way to Florida. And any potential sponsors will be keeping their powder dry. The Glazers will have had good early warning that Chevrolet would be pulling the plug. Hence the cost cutting with Herrera. Felliani. Sanchez. Valencia. Darmian. Smalling. Lukaku.

I'm utterly convinced that is the situation. A massive decision had to be made in the summer. The club were paying huge wages. A wage bill more befitting to a team that should be winning prem titles or Champions leagues, yet were a million miles away. That simply couldnt continue. You cant change players contracts mid term, but to balance that off you can sell players, or palm them off to other clubs.

That is a huge white flag being waved by the club. As i suspected 2 seasons ago, they clearly gave up the ghost in trying to compete with the likes of City and the Dirties. It was simply going to be far too expensive to even try. Mourinho should be praised for his honesty. He told the club that if they want to compete they would have to pay handsomely for it. The squad really was/is that bad. And if the best in the business tells you your fucked. You are fucked.

Word on the street is that their last money draining scheme will be to sell the naming writes to the stadium.
Horrible fuckers. Absolute fuckin vile bastards.

Really do feel like there is genuine momentum behind what’s happening now with the Glazers and taking steps towards an exit, maybe one at a time but this downfall has hit our brand value hard and that can’t be denied anymore. Chickens coming home to roost.

If this does not infuriates or remove the blindfold in front of thick match going fans to start protesting then I don't know what will.
Systematic and daylight destruction of a club.
Reading this b*llshit makes me wanna cry tbh.
