Ole Gunnar Solskjaer: A thread

I have said to everyone i speak too that things with the squad we have is going to take time to get better. We have a lot of deadwood that just needs cutting never mind getting a certain amount for a player as a player is only worth what the buying club is willing to pay. I like what ole is trying to do it would of been easy to go out and throw a load of money at any old players just to try and fill the squad and also buying for the long term not just for a quick fix

Interesting idea about the fact Ole would have been sacked if the money was there...but your last sentence says it all.

I'm still pretty sure a lot of people don't realise JUST how much we are a cluster fuck.

And we all know the Glazers aren't going anywhere any time soon.
I dunno. The Saudi rumours won't go away but there doesn't seem to be any sort of grass-roots movement (bar the one on Twitter) to get them out. United fans are divided with some blowhards saying only the opinion of match-going supporters counts. Until Old Trafford is half empty for a home game in protest, there's no incentive for the Glazers to go.

Indeed Bert. Prime example of why i gave up my ST in 2007. Standing on the concourse at half time. Fans chanting "Glazer out" in their green and gold scarves. Next minute theyre in the queue at the bar......" 4 Budwiesers please and 3 pies, two bags of crisp and a mars bar please".

What the fuck? Where the fuck do they think the money is going?? And thats why its a load of bollocks. These fuckin jokers seem to think they are making a statement by chanting and wearing scarves. But theyre integral to the problem, not the solution. Fancy acting like a mong after youve give the cunts £700 of your hard earned, then giving them even more once your in the stadium, then singing songs to get them out.:D

You couldnt fuckin write it. And dont even get me started on the super hero fan..........."But if i give my ST up they'll just give it to a day tripper anyway. I'm not letting them yank cunts stop me supporting the shirts". Oh fuck off for fucks sake. Them pricks are on £150 grand a week. They dont give a fuck about the fans, not one bit.

The bottom line is this. The fans that still attend home games and complain about the owners are not showing any loyalty to the club at all, just the owners that they want out. Until youve got the bollocks to do the right thing and actually walk away, you have absolutely no right to complain.

Somebody once said that the the only difference between democracy and hypocrisy is the way its fuckin spelled.

I can't see the Saudis taking over even with a 5-million-pound bid. The Glazers will milk this club for all it's worth. I reckon Ole will be sacked before Christmas if we lose to Brighton/Sheffield, or Spurs/City could even be the final straw....share prices are continuing to drop and what does a change in manager bring? An increase in share prices. This board don't have a clue and Ed will keep sacking managers if that keeps their financial situation stable. We've seen it for the past 6 years. We'll probably see it for 6 more :(

We still dont have a pattern of play. We dont know what our best team is.
I agree with a lot of what you say but not this. I do think there is a distinct style and pattern, it's the high press, the fast counter attack, the forward movement. I do think it's a young squad and needs time to develop that pattern. And I think Olé thinks he knows what his best team is: DDG-AWB-Maguire-Lindelof (with Axel knocking on door until he got injured) - Shaw (with Williams knocking on the door and Young being phased out) - McSauce - Fred - Pogba - James - Martial - Rashford.

Guys can I take this opportunity to remind you to get your predictions in for the Partizan game? http://thepeoplesperson.com/forum/i...-7th-november-enter-your-predictions-here.85/

I don't think it would take £5 billion to buy United. You could probably buy Real Madrid for less than that. However, I get your point about sacking the manager. Surely the Glazers are not so mercenary that they'd sack Ole just to up the share price on Wall Street? Maybe they are. If they did sack Ole, perhaps the supporters would vote with their feet and boycott the club en masse.

If Poch goes to Aresenal, imagine the banter level. What a timeline we live in.

The good looking bastard. Such a massive few games up for United now. Mourinho back at Old Trafford and City away within the space of 4 days. Jaysus.
Im more concerned over the Spurs game, as they're the ones who play really well vs the though opponents (historically).

City just need to have a poor game, and I believe we can beat them. We also tend to play pretty well against our rivals.

Keep in Mind he still hasn't had a full season I believe that after this year Ole would have a squad hes happy with so I'd give him at least till the end of this season so he has had the chance to bring in all the players he wants and tactics he wants to play.

Well...Villa happened. Spurs next...City after. Word from the club is his job is under no pressure at all, do
I hope so we need to see some faith Ole needs to be worrying about sorting out the team not if he gonna have a job at the end of the week plus if Ole is hanging in a state of limbo what sort of effect would that have on the players.

Well from the boards point of view he isnt under threat. Obviously they'd like nothing more than to sack him. But he is their buffer zone. Sacking him means that yet again they've fucked up. Theyre stuck between a rock and a hard place.

But from the fans and media, he's toast. It simply is going well. But Ole will play the game. He wont complain about not getting backed, he wont rock the boat and thats what they want. Like Herrera said, the football and results at United are just not that important. The only way out of it for the board to save face is to move Ole into a director of football role and bring in a new manager. But what new manager would actually agree to that?? Its a tough one.

No. If the club isn't already in talks with Poch, they soon will be. The only person whose job isn't under threat is Woodward and that may not last for ever.

It's like Roy Keane says; they'll throw Ole under the bus as soon as look at him.
