What can we do as fans to change this situation?

Hi, I'm Simon from Northern Ireland and have been a Manchester United fan my entire life.
I will admit that I've been growing increasingly frustrated with what's been going on at the club I love.
I really enjoy listening to Sam Peoples and his videos but I feel that it's now time for us to take some action.

I've been thinking of a number of options including getting thousands of us fans, to write to Manchester United demanding that we install a director of football and get Woodward out of operating the football side of things.
Please share some of your ideas.

Any thoughts Sam?
Have you got any ideas of what we as lifelong fans, can be doing to rectify the situation?

I am from India. So, the best I can do is to stop buying merchandise. I didn't buy anything this season after the window they gave us.
But the fans in England, you can do more. Stop going to the matches and stop buying tickets and merchandise. I know it will be tough and it will affect the players but its the only way we can hurt Glazers. Only way they will listen to the fans.

I personally feel that we need to be much more vocal than that.
It'll take thousands and thousands of people to make that work.

As of now I think the best we fans can do, is giving the players our support. They are drained of confidence and really need us, the fans, to stand by them. I'm not saying that will solve any administrative issue but if you ask me, I say we support the players and coaching staff as the results on the football pitch are the only thing we can influence right now.

First. Be realistic with our expectations. With the close of the window, we had the 6-8th best squad in the league (factoring experience, team chemistry and manegerial experience).

Second. Try to see the "bigger" picture. The club needs a massive overhaul in personnel and mentality from a football perspective. It was always going to a necessary and slow grind.

Third. Back Ole till the end of the season deliverables. I don't see Ole as the long term man. The boat had capsized before Ole, and at best I expected him to flip it, and lay foundations for the next Captain.

Fourth. Back the players that have some kind of future, albeit as squad fillers. The current are never first XI but with better recruitment, they would be capable squad fillers.

Unfortunately, this is mostly based on some serious hope that the board are willing to do things properly from now henceforth, Ole getting the best out of the squad till the end of the season, the players stepping up to the plate.

Supporting the players and Ole till the end is the best short term way in my opinion.

Long-term. We need to hurt the team's financials.
Those of us in England, stop attending home games. For Away games, show up in proper support, and chant away Woodward and Glazers predominantly. Banners of #glazersout #woodwardout at both home and away matches would be good.
stop buying merchendise.

Those of us not in England. Stop buying merchandise, hit the social media, 1* anything MUFC Official related (Apps, and such) unfollow the team's accounts, use the hashtags whenever speaking about football.

Fans need to be ruthless, all this support the players is what gets them in their comfort zones in the first place. ManUtd is a big club and players should expect pressure from every corner with every poor performance. Having said that, you cannot get the Glazers out with peace and love. The takeover of the club was unethical in the first place, they are fire and only fire is needed to squash them out.

Sorry I follow and support the club not the players , which players should we support ? Mata who knows his finished but sticks around earn his retirement wage , rashford who’s in poor form but would not admit and give way on set pieces and just focus on doing the basic right to get back to form , matic who spits shit about not been picked when his done nothing when picked , there is no player to support . Support the club , we say Madrid fans are spoilt but that’s what been real is , support the club no player is bigger than the club, but in our case we also have the shitest people running the club , so screwed double way .

Fair points. I think Mata said that he expected to play a lesser role now, knowing he would be on the bench quite a lot, and for that he is a good squad member. Who is to say that Rashford isn't the only player with balls enough to step up at this point? With Matic... I won't comment on that one. The point I was trying to make was that there is no point of slagging the players and staff off - least those who step up in this difficult time - as they (most anyway) are the only ones that truly want the same as us. Constructive criticism, fine, but witch hunts and derogatory comments actually only make things worse as they actually see and hear a whole lot of what is written and said on the internet.

Hello I am from India. As rightly said above, we fans from India can do at the most is stop buying merchandises. But I think what fans in UK can do is be vocal on top of their voices at the home games chanting against Woodward and Glazers for entire game. Also they can carry banners expressing your views on both Woodward n Glazers. Stop wearing manutd red shirts. Instead wear yellow green shirts with scarfs too. We need to raise our voice against the owners and let them know just like West Ham utd fans did against their club owners few years back. Come on now !!!

You keep players like Rooney, lampard , terry, kompany at clubs when they are past it because they actually contribute in team morale and dressing room politics positively, not mata and certainly not Ashley old , there is no positive in keeping mata lesser role or any role he has non To contribute , he can write his blog from home , any sensible board would have slingshot mata and kept Herrera but like I said we also been run by clowns so we screwed both ways . I See your point but there is no player to support you want to support a player support Ferdinand, he saw his past it and resigned mata should get out if he loves the club as he pretends and preaches on his blog , Young should retire completely all this is what you must remember you can’t respect when non is shown to you for respect is reciprocal.
