The Peoples Person is always looking to bring on more Manchester United fans who want to get involved. Here are the latest opportunities.
Freelance writers – NOW HIRING.
We are looking for a set of writers who will be assigned specific shifts on a monthly basis as well as other additional slots as and when work is required including on match-days.
All positions are part-time, the pay rate is contracted per month (to be discussed with candidates) and work will be designated in specific slots in advance. Work will be assigned throughout the week and weekend work is likely to be required on match-days.
Due to the nature of freelance roles, the amount of hours given to successful applicants will likely change on a monthly basis but this is a long-term freelance position. A successful candidate will have regular work throughout at least the entire 2017/18 Premier League season.
A successful candidate will be…
- Able to write accurate content to tight deadlines using The Peoples Person’s style guide as a template
- A Manchester United fan. We’re a fan website and we want to keep it that way
- Passionate about Manchester United
- Trained in journalism or have a background in writing
- Reliable and consistent with your work.
- Able to source and create content yourself
- Somebody who is keen to learn
We love to hear what you have to say on current issues and topics which Manchester United fans are talking about right now. Do you want to write a piece on Timothy Fosu-Mensah‘s rise or how Anthony Martial should be starting up front for Man United?
So long as your content is well researched and well written, we welcome any contributions and will be happy to publish them.
This is currently an unpaid position.
Social media roles –
With a Facebook page that has 2.2 million likes and a combined following of nearly 55,000 followers on Twitter, plenty of reds follow The Peoples Person’s social accounts to keep up-to-date on everything Manchester United.
We’re looking for somebody to help us take our social activity up to the next level with engaging content on Facebook and Twitter. From videos and pictures to stats, quotes and polls, there are lots of different ways of informing and engaging fans and we’d love to find somebody to help us provide that.
This is currently an unpaid position but there is potential for it to turn into a paid role in the future.
