The FA are taking the piss out of United and SAF now. The latest news comes after Ferguson spoke out about Howard Webb prior to the game against Chelsea:
“We are getting the best referee, there is no doubt about that. But (getting a bad decision) is definitely our big fear. We have the players to do it all right. We just hope it’s our turn for a little bit of luck.”
I am guessing that Ancelotti is exempt from the same rules as he spoke out against Howard Webb prior to the same match:
“But I don’t want to put pressure on the referee. Howard Webb is a fantastic referee, he has the skills to handle the occasion. If the referee has no experience maybe you can be a little worried about this but with Webb there is no problem.”
The FA showed their true colours once again with some blatant double standards. Ferguson has just come off a 5 match ban following his comments about Martin Atkinson after he managed to miss many crucial decisions in United’s 2-1 loss at Stamford Bridge. Luckily enough the FA can’t do anything to rain on United’s push for the illusive 19th title and as long as we secure 1 point against Blackburn this weekend, it will all be water under the bridge. SAF has until 4pm on May 16th to respond to the charge so I will keep you updated on the situation when it changes.
