United have secured a new £40 million 4-year deal with courier company DHL to sponsor our training kits. The DHL logo will be displayed at all training sessions except those ahead of European fixtures. It comes as no surprise to any fan who followed the team through the American tour as the United tour bus was painted in the DHL colours. Not many teams in the world could even dream of selling their training kits for such a lucrative amount but such is the power of the United brand and as David Gill explained, this is the first deal of its kind in the English Premier League, so no doubt other teams will follow suit swiftly. Alongside a deal with DHL for the training kits, we have co-signed a 3-year deal with Vietnam communications company Beeline for an undisclosed amount that will enable United fans in Vietnam and Cambodia to watch video clips of matches and events so that they can keep up-to-date with the goings on at the club. The Asian market is exponential in its marketing potential and even if you are strictly anti-Glazer, you can’t help but acknowledge that deals such as these will only do well to bring in more revenue to the club.
