Manchester United capture all-time England goalscoring record

Wayne Rooney‘s brace against Bulgaria last night in England’s Euro 2012 qualifier means that Manchester United now top the all time goal scoring list for England when broken down by teams. Prior to last night, Tottenham Hotspur were atop the list with 189 goals but Rooney pushed United to the top of the pile with his excellent performance. There is still a long way to go before Rooney breaks any records that Bobby Charlton set for either club or country but with records falling quickly, this is set to be a great season for Rooney and Manchester United.
