Angelo Henriquez has been included in the U21 squad to face Newcastle United at Moss Lane tonight and is set to make his first appearance in a Manchester United shirt.
The 18-year-old Chilean striker made his move from Universidad de Chile this summer after Sir Alex chose to bring him to Old Trafford sooner rather than later.
Ever since having a trial at United when he was 14, he has been on our books and after scoring 11 goals in just 17 starts in his breakthrough season with the Chilean outfit, Sir Alex decided he couldn’t wait any longer.
He will be the last summer signing to make his first appearance for the club and there is a real buzz of excitement amongst fans to see what he can do.
When Javier Hernandez came to Old Trafford, few could of imagined what an incredible impact he could have had and there are high hopes about Henriquez, who is another natural goal poacher.
His ferocious pace and lightning reflexes make him a deadly man in and around the six yard box and with Davide Petrucci likely to play tonight, he is sure to get some good service.
United’s first team are really spoilt for attacking options right now with van Persie, Rooney, Welbeck and Hernandez but with a busy schedule coming up, if Henriquez can impress tonight there is nothing to say that Sir Alex won’t hand him a first team opportunity.
