Summer signing Shinji Kagawa has been nominated for the AFC International Player of the Year award after a fantastic 12 months of football.
Last season, Shinji Kagawa helped Borussia Dortmund to a domestic double with the Bundesliga title and the DFB Pokal Cup, netting 17 times in the process.
He started his Manchester United career off in fine form showcasing why £17 million was forked out for his signature but he is currently sidelined with a knee injury. His diminutive, play-maker style of football brought a new dimension to our attack and he has instantly become a fans favourite with his dancing feet and elegance on the pitch.
Fulham’s Australian goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer and Inter Milan defender Yuto Nagatomo are the other two nominees on the shortlist for the award, which has been created this year for Asian players who play football outside of Asia.
The winner will be announced on November 29.
