Nemanja Vidic trained this morning ahead of Manchester United’s UEFA Champions League fixture against CFR Cluj at Old Trafford tomorrow night.

Sir Alex confirmed earlier in the week that he was hoping Nemanja Vidic would make first appearance in two months on Wednesday night.

He said: “”I’m hopeful maybe Vidic will play. I think there’s a good chance he will but it depends on how he feels himself.”

Considering Nemanja Vidic was supposed to be out until after Christmas, it would certainly be a welcome return to have our captain back earlier than possible. However, he returned from injury at the start of the season and had clearly been rushed back which only led to him getting injured again.

As long as Nemanja feels in himself that he is fully fit, I will be glad to see his return. We have leaked goals in his absence and if we can continue scoring at the scorching rate we have done and tighten up our defence with the return of our captain, we could be unstoppable.
