Angelo Henriquez left out of Manchester United squad for NexLions Cup

Angelo Henriquez is not part of the 18 man squad that is competing for the NexLions Cup.

It was a surprise to see the inclusion of Angelo Henriquez in the provisional squad for Manchester United’s trip to Singapore for the competition in the first place to be honest but now the 18-year-old will be staying at Carrington.

There has been a whole host of changes to the provisional squad with the likes of Andreas Pereira, Charni Ekangamene, Tyler Blackett and Luke McCullough all not making the trip.

The competition kicks off for Manchester United tomorrow morning against Sporting Lisbon. It will be aired live on MUTV. The cup will be a chance for our youngsters to show themselves on a world stage and with Liverpool also in the competition, there is the potential chance that we might be playing them for the trophy.
