Beckham off to Chelsea

david-beckham-youngDavid Beckham was spotted at Chelsea’s Cobham training centre this week to watch his son Brooklyn have a trial to join their academy.

After a successful trial, Brooklyn is expected to soon be joining the Chelsea academy and although it is a shame not to have a young Beckham joining up with Carrington, it is good to see the Beckhams back in England now that David has seen his contract with LA Galaxy run out.

An insider said: ‘Brooklyn is like any teenager with an ambition to be a footballer. He has just returned to England and wanted to see how he fared.”

Yesterday, it was appropriate to see Beckham back seeing as it was the 20th anniversary of Beckham joining United and see his son start his path into Premier League football. Although, it isn’t as satisfying as seeing a young Beckham walking into Carrington.

Beckham will always be fondly remembered as one of the greatest #7’s that the club has had alongside George Best and Cristiano Ronaldo. I still don’t think there has been a better crosser in the Premier League and United could really do with a reliable crosser these days.

Best of luck to Brooklyn at Chelsea. Although, he needs to watch out for air rifles in Cobham now that Ashley Cole has signed a new contract.
