Wilfried Zaha will undergo a medical at Bridgewater Hospital within the next 48 hours ahead of a £15 million move to Manchester United.
The 20-year-old Crystal Palace winger will cost an initial £10 million up front as well as £5 million in add-ons and will be loaned back to Crystal Palace for the remainder of the season.
Reports suggest that Zaha will sign a five-and-a-half-year-deal at United which would keep him at the club until he is at least 26.
This has been January’s transfer saga that now seems to be coming closer to its conclusion. The highly rated winger was reportedly wanted by a host of Premier League clubs including Arsenal but it seems he chose to make the move to Manchester.
Since his name has hit the headlines, Zaha has been in sparkling form for Crystal Palace which indicates that he can happily cope with the pressures that come with being in the spotlight. He has already made his senior England debut against Sweden last year and now that he will likely be moving to the Premier League, the world is at his feet.
Given how poor our wingers have been this year, it is fantastic to see that we are poised to sign one of the most promising talents in England.
The Peoples Person will bring you updates and pictures of Wilfried Zaha’s medical as soon as we have them.
