Michael Carrick has pulled out of the England squad to face Brazil this week due to injury it has been announced.
He has only recently been recalled to the England squad by Roy Hodgson after being looked over for so long despite being one of the most consistent midfielders in England.
Daniel Taylor, chief football writer for The Guardian/Observer, broke the news on Twitter in the last few minutes so there is no official statement yet from The FA.
For any United fan, the thought of having Carrick injured isn’t a pretty one. He has been an ever present in our midfield this season and is in his best form since the 2007/8 double winning season.
Hopefully, this withdrawal from the squad is merely precaution from both Carrick and Ferguson. With two tough fixtures against Everton and Real Madrid coming up, United will certainly need a fully fit Carrick.
The Peoples Person will update you as soon as we know more information about whether his injury is serious.
