Shinji Kagawa put in a brilliant display on international duty with Japan as they comfortably beat Latvia 3-0 in a friendly earlier today.
He bagged himself two assists within the space of two minutes and was named Man of the Match in a display that will certainly have grabbed the attention of all United fans.
The second assist in particular was a sumptuously timed through ball that cut right through the heart of the Latvian defence. It was very similar to the first timed ball he played to Rooney for the equaliser against Southampton recently.
Interestingly, he played from the inside left position and not as a central play maker which goes to show that he is not troubled playing out on the wings so long as he can still drift inside.
Kagawa has been improving with every performance since returning from injury and ahead of a tough double header against Everton and Real Madrid, he could certainly prove to be one of United’s most important players.
