Sir Alex Ferguson has an eye for Dutch players. Jaap Stam was a great buy  and so was Ruud van Nistelrooy. Edwin van der Sar was the keeper that made the Manchester-faithful forget about Peter Schmeichel and as a stand-in, Raimond van der Gouw had always been very solid.
