The shirt, modelled by Danny Welbeck, features a design similar to that of the home kit of this season with the ‘gingham’ theme continued on the away shirt with a blue/black patchwork. Although, it is a bit strange that there is no collar on the away shirt.
The coming season’s shirts will be the last bearing the ‘Aon’ sponsorship with Chevrolet taking over the deal from the start of the 2014/15 season.
The white away strip from last year will now be used as the third kit for the upcoming season.
After the gorgeous white away strip, the new release may be considered a disappointment by some. However, when taken in comparison with Liverpool’s new away shirt that looks like it was knitted by my grandmother, our new away strip looks like a piece of art.
