Manchester United have completed the signing of Uruguayan right-back Guillermo Varela.
The 20-year old is the first player to join under the David Moyes era and has penned a five year deal with the club.
“I’m very pleased to be a part of this club, one of the best teams in the world,” he said on his move.
“As everyone in the world knows, this is a huge club that has won everything and I really hope that continues.
“I’m very lucky there are quite a few Spanish-speakers here. It will certainly help me settle in.”
Varela becomes the 11th South American to sign for Manchester United and joins up with Spanish speakers Valencia, Chicharito and De Gea.
He is known to be a very-‘Brazilian’ style defender who is very quick and very attacking but is compelling in his defensive duties.
Fans will get a glimpse at Varela at the end of June where he will be competing in the U20 World Cup in Turkey.
