Shinji Kagawa put Japan 2-0 up against Italy tonight with a stunning swivel turn and volley in the Confederations Cup.
The Japanese playmaker showed great technique as he watched the ball drop, turned on a sixpence and rifled a left foot volley into Buffon’s bottom corner.
It really was a beautiful goal that showed all the technique that Manchester United fans had seen at points in his debut season at Old Trafford and Buffon had no chance of keeping it out.
And it is great to see Kagawa having a productive summer so far. He helped Japan to become the first country to qualify for the 2014 Brazil World Cup and Japan are currently 2-1 up against Italy in the Confederations Cup. More of the same please Shinji.
