Angelo Henriquez doesn’t know whether his immediate future lies at Manchester United as he looks for the best place to play next season.
The 19-year-old was one of Chile’s best performers in their run to the semi-final of the U20 World Cup and his brilliant brace against Ghana was a personal highlight from the tournament.
“I have to give my best and, perhaps, do more of what I did at the U20 World Cup,” he told Radio ADN.
“Now I look for the best place to play.”
Last year, Henriquez spent half a season on loan with Wigan Athletic and he won his first trophy in England when they overcame Manchester City to win the FA Cup. However, with limited game time it wasn’t the most productive of loan spells.
The Chilean striker did enjoy playing with a Premier League team but this year he needs to find a team where he will get the experience of first team football.
Real Zaragoza has been linked with a move for Henriquez and Spanish football would certainly suit his style of play.
Alternatively, he could choose to play for Warren Joyce’s U21s again next season but another loan move will be his likely destination.
