David de Gea: Manchester United’s number one can expect a sterner test against Swansea than he did last weekend against Wigan.
Nemanja Vidic: The Serbian will be hoping for an injury free season ahead as he looks to stay ahead of the tough centre-back competition at United.
Jonny Evans: Assuming full recovery from injury, Evans could be Vidic’s defensive partner on Saturday.
Patrice Evra: Evra was one of United’s top performers against Wigan and will be looking forward to hopefully having another consistent season.
Antonio Valencia: After looking bright when coming on last Sunday, Valencia may be selected ahead of youngster Wilfried Zaha, particularly when considering his superior experience.
Michael Carrick: Man of the match against Wigan, Carrick is carrying on at the start of this season when he left off from last year.
Anderson: A favourite of Moyes’ in pre-season, the Brazilian could partner Carrick on Saturday.
Ryan Giggs: Giggs has been a favourite of Moyes so far and his experience could be vital against Swansea.
Danny Welbeck: The young forward has looked in form so far this season and continued it with a great goal against Scotland midweek.
Robin van Persie: Van Persie’s goals are certain to be key in United’s title chase.
A similar formation to that used against Wigan in the community shield can be expected from David Moyes if Anderson and Valencia are chosen ahead of Tom Cleverley and Wilfried Zaha.
Welbeck and Giggs are certainly likely to interchange in their positions, something that will also be likely should Shinji Kagawa be selected ahead of one of them instead.
