David Moyes has refused to rule out a move for Gareth Bale when questioned by Geoff Shreeves after tonight’s 0-0 draw with Chelsea.
Manchester United have made no public movements towards Bale but Ed Woodward has remained silent since returning from the pre-season tour early on transfer business and it is expected that there are goings on behind the scene.
When asked if United had made a bid for Gareth Bale, Moyes refused to distance himself for a potential bid for the Welsh winger.
“I said to you from the start Manchester United will always be interested in the best players.”
When quizzed further by Shreeves on the topic, Moyes was coy in his response.
“I can’t give you anymore,” he said.
Moyes’ comments are far from the Scot admitting that United are in for Bale but it certainly leaves the door open for his potential move to Old Trafford this summer given that he looks set to leave White Hart Lane.
