PICTURE: Vincent Kompany’s message for Marouane Fellaini after his Manchester United move

Manchester City captain and Belgium team-mate Vincent Kompany has sent his well wishes to Marouane Fellaini after his move to Manchester United but warned him about our noisy neighbours.

After Fellaini’s signing, derbies against City will be a much more interesting affair. United will finally have a midfielder in the team who is capable of standing up to Yaya Toure who has bossed us for two years, so it should be a fixture that is more balanced this season.

As he is out injured, Kompany will not be joining up with Fellaini on international duty with Belgium this week.

Rio Ferdinand sent his own welcome message to Fellaini and made sure he knew about staying fit in the international break.

Wayne Rooney took to his official Facebook page to welcome the arrival of Fellaini at Old Trafford, citing him as a much better player than he gets credit for.
