Shinji Kagawa was again absent for Manchester United today after being left out of the match day squad with a bout of flu.
It was semi-expected that the 24-year-old wouldn’t feature simply because of how much football and travelling he did with Japan midweek but it didn’t stop a horde of fans berating David Moyes for leaving him out.
A few weeks ago, Borussia Dortmund fans instigated a #freeshinji campaign on Twitter to try and get their club to make a move for Kagawa in the transfer window.
Now, the official Youtube channel for the Bundesliga has released a video trying to lure him back to Germany.
They are very persistent in Germany, I’ll give them that. Jurgen Klopp seems to talk about Kagawa at any given opportunity, the fans started their own campaign and now the league itself is getting involved despite Kagawa ruling out a move back to Germany for now.
Only time will tell as to whether Kagawa isn’t fit or Moyes simply doesn’t like him as a player but with such a busy September, it shouldn’t be long before Kagawa can finally start his season at Old Trafford.
