Rio Ferdinand has called for Manchester United to get back on track with a win against Liverpool in the Capital One Cup tonight.
The 34-year-old made his fifth consecutive Premier League start for United against Manchester City on Sunday and although he will likely not feature in the game tonight, he realises how important it is for United to show a reaction after the disappointment of the derby.
Capital One Cup games usually do not carry a real significance but tonight’s has taken on a new importance because of the loss against City.
Want the next game to come as quick as possible after such a bad result.

A win over Liverpool would be the perfect remedy to the wounds from derby day and it would relieve the pressure on both the team and David Moyes.
Speaking at his pre-match conference yesterday, Moyes also asked his players to respond with a reaction tonight.
“You just hope there will be a reaction and I’m sure there will be,” he said.
“When you’ve got the players we have, I can see it written all over their faces how they feel.
“It doesn’t really matter whether I have seen a reaction [in training]. The reaction has to be seen when you people [media and public] can see it. I’m still getting to know all the players here. I’ll get a chance to know more of them this week, and hopefully they will show what they can do.”
Liverpool come to Old Trafford off the back of a loss to Southampton so they will want to bounce back as well, so tonight is all set to be a tense and fiery occasion as it always is with games against the Scousers.
