Angelo Henriquez (Real Zaragoza) – Henriquez started for Zaragoza as they faced Recreativo de Huelva this weekend. There was a penalty shout when Henriquez was in the opposition’s area and the ball came off the hand of a defender but it would have been harsh if it was given.
Recreativo pressed for most of the first half and went into the break 1-0 but soon after the restart, Henriquez scored to level the game with a well placed shot to slot home past the keeper. Recreativo responded by taking the lead and Henriquez had a chance to level things with around 15 minutes to go, but failed to convert his effort. He played the full match but was unable to rescue a point for Zaragoza.
In spite of that, Henriquez has started off his time very well in Spain with two goals in last two appearances.
Marnick Vermijl (NEC Nijmegen) – Vermijl started in NEC’s derby against Vitesse.
He made a great run into Vitesse’s box in the first half but his shots were twice blocked by the Vitesse defence. He was subbed off on the hour with a foot injury. Hopefully it’s nothing to serious because he has established himself as a regular starter in the NEC team.
