Manchester United have suffered a new injury blow as Marouane Fellaini has sustained a wrist injury this week in training and will be sent to a specialist on Monday.
MUTV confirmed the news after the final whistle against Sunderland and indicated that the initial prognosis is not good for the 25-year-old which suggests that he could be ruled out for a while.
Fellaini has slowly been settling into his career at Old Trafford but he cut a frustrated figure in his last appearance against Shakhtar Donetsk in midweek where he struggled to control the game.
It would be a real blow for the Belgian to suffer a long term injury as it will really hinder his progress over the first season.
The news is softened slightly by the form of Tom Cleverley who has played superb in his last few appearances.
