Wilfried Zaha and Ravel Morrison had to be separated by Nathan Redmond late on in England’s 5-0 demolition against Lithuania last night.
After some words, Morrison pushed Zaha in the face which provoked a similar reaction from Manchester United’s winger and given how well the pair had linked up on the night, it was a very strange thing to see.
Both players shone. Zaha grabbed two assists, one for Morrison, and the West Ham man bagged a brace in another fantastic individual performance yet instead of both revelling in the victory, there was clearly some bad blood between them at that moment in time.
Zaha has been very meek in his time at United so far so it is a surprise to see him involved but one of the pair said something. Given Morrison’s previous record, it could well have been him.
This season, Morrison has kept himself in check and has played brilliant football. He needs to make sure that he toes the line as he has done so far because we’ve all seen how well he can play if he simply concentrates on his football.
