Tyler Blackett has joined Championship side Blackpool on an initial one month loan period in his first loan spell.
The 19-year-old versatile full-back will join up with his younger brother Ramone who is also at Blackpool.
It is a very good loan move on paper for Blackett as Blackpool currently sit in fourth spot in the Championship and look like promotion contenders, so the quality of football should be very good and will challenge him.
Speaking to Blackpool TV about the move, Blackett admitted he was happy at the move and was looking forward to gaining some experience with the first team as he looks to help his career progress.
“It’s a decent move for me personally to get some first team football with the lads,” he said.
“Manchester United has changed since David Moyes has arrived but the set up and structure is still exactly the same, so I am just trying to progress through the ranks.”has a
Blackett’s versatility has seen him play further up the field with Warren Joyce’s Under-21s this year where he has impressed but now is the right time for him to go out on loan to get regular first team football.
For a 19-year-old, Blackett has a real physical presence and shouldn’t struggle in that respect at Blackpool. Hopefully Paul Ince can get the best out of him and give him some game time in the next month.
