Manchester United have confirmed that Nemanja Vidic has been released from hospital after he was taken there following a bad collision with David de Gea during the Arsenal match yesterday.
The 32-year-old looked dazed and confused as he was taken off just before half time and there was real concern that he may have suffered something more serious than concussion but it seems the Serb will be OK.
When Vidic goes down and stays down, you know something is up and it is great news to hear that he will make a full and speedy recovery from the injury that forced him off against Arsenal.
This season, Vidic has overcome his injury problems and returned to his imperious best at the heart of United’s defence. We missed our captain in his extended absence and it would have been a real blow to have him on the sidelines but in typical Vidic fashion, it looks like he’ll brush it off and be back in time for Cardiff in two weeks.
