Robin van Persie pulls out of Holland friendlies due to injury

Robin van Persie has pulled out of Holland’s international friendlies against Japan and Colombia due to his ongoing groin and toe problems.

Reports some Holland suggest that although he played the full 90 minutes against Arsenal this weekend, there is a fear of overloading his body which could aggravate his injuries.

The 30-year-old was in good form against Arsenal this weekend and from a Manchester United perspective, news that he will have a two week break is music to our ears.

Despite his ongoing injuries, he has continued to play at Old Trafford and this break is precisely what needs in order to fully recover and get over his niggling injuries.

The last thing that United needs is for Van Persie to be injured and hopefully after a small break, he can get back to his best.
