David Moyes feels there is plenty more to come from Manchester United following Sunday’s 3-0 win away at Aston Villa.
United went into the game after league defeats to both Everton and Newcastle but bounced back at Villa Park as a first half Danny Welbeck brace and a well worked Tom Cleverley strike saw us grab three points. We may not be favourites any more in the Titan Bet best football odds but are now perhaps back on track.
Moyes doesn’t think there was too much difference between Sunday’s performances and the defeats to the Toffees and the Toon, and believes United will now only get better following the morale boosting victory.
“I don’t think there was an awful lot of difference [in the games], except we obviously scored the goals,” he told Sky Sports.
“We have not been scoring and goals change how it looks, mainly for the media, but we know we have to play better as well and we have to play better than we did today again. It continually has to improve and I will make sure it gets better over the coming months.
“I think we will play much better, I have told the players that is the least we can do and we have to keep going and win more games.”
The busy festive period is when United traditionally start finding their feet and there are certainly plenty of winnable games over the next few weeks, with West Ham next up in the league, before Hull on Boxing Day and Norwich on the December 28, where United will be odds-on to win all of those games.
The win will have lifted the mood within United and with the potential of a few new faces in January, things can only get better.
