Adnan Januzaj has made it very clear what he wants to achieve in his first senior season with Manchester United – to win trophies, nothing else.
After a tough start to the year, United have bounced back and victory over Tottenham Hotspur today would be our seventh in a row, form that has put us back into the title race and Januzaj has played a big part in that revival.
He has become an integral part of Moyes’ team already straight away and his attitude really is second to none, especially for somebody so young.
When asked by United what his New Year resolution was, he said: “Win trophies with the boss. I just want to win trophies – that is all.”
This season, Januzaj has been a breath of fresh air with everything that he does both on and off the pitch. For someone who is only 18, he has a very mature head on his shoulders and knows exactly what he wants. It is rare to see a youngster in their first season look so accustomed to football at the top level.
He got a taste for trophies last year as the Reserves won the double and that will have given him the drive to achieve success with the senior team.
Winning is a habit that United have grown accustom to and even though he is only half a season into his senior career at Old Trafford, it is a mindset that Januzaj has clearly already adopted.
